so you're the man who met Rob Sherrington at Jedburgh. Amazing co-incidence? I'm following Rob's blog and have just found yours too. Enjoyed your description of climbing Ben Nevis.

Hi Barry,

Well done on your walk so far and getting up Ben Nevis too. You mentioned your surprise at seeing snow surviving until July, if you get a chance look up 'Scottish snow patches' and you will be further surprised how many patches of snow survive through to the
following winter some years! Hope the rest of the walk goes well.

Can't believe you have walked so far, amazing, well done. Don't forget to see the Falkirk Wheel, it is an example of English design and building, worth looking at, and there is a nice eating place there.

It is not Alsatian, the correct name is German Shepherd. Name changed during the First World War because anything with the name German was banned, and the dog originated from Alsace, hencevalsatian

Hi Barry, really great stuff, well done and hope all goes well for you and the collection tin keeps filling up. Incidentally, in view of your choice of using gardening gloves, how about your next challenge being mowing from John O'Groats to Lands End (your
choice whether you use a sit-on mower)?
