As I mentioned, I wanted to make this a sponsored walk, which adds some purpose, so I’ve chosen two worthwhile charities.  Both obviously do valuable and essential work and it would be great if you could support them. Click the logo to go through to the page.

Leading the fight against child abuse in the UK.
The NSPCC help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, protecting children at risk, and finding the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.  Abuse ruins childhood, but it can be prevented. They help children in every community in the UK, including yours, offering all kinds of support, from antenatal care for new parents to helping mums and their children recover from domestic abuse.  Every ten minutes someone contacts the NSPCC to report child abuse or to get advice about a child’s safety. Those conversations mean that they can protect children in abusive situations by getting them the help they need.
